Publisher Bob Lawrence says the new, monthly ezine provides unique
opportunities for information, education and fun for world travelers and
future adventurers. “Where else on the internet can you hear the
sounds of a surfacing hippo as it bobs out of the Mara River, gasps for air and growls,”
said Lawrence.
Bob is half of a writing and publishing team with includes wife Donna Lawrence, TravelReporter editor-in-chief. Bob is a veteran TV journalist and producer, and Donna is an accomplished writer with credits for more than a hundred magazine articles published throughout the US and on the internet. She has a masters degree in geography and most recently has focused on environmental journalism. In addition to articles, photos and sounds, TravelReporter.com offers an exciting array of links to important travel, adventure and travel news web sites. There are also links to MIT’s “Radio Stations on the Web,” the Rain-or-Shine world weather service, and the University of Texas electronic map collection of 2400 maps from around the world, many of them created by the CIA. TravelReporter’s TravelLinks is a comprehensive list of more than 185 links compiled from many sources, offering links to such subjects as US passport requirements, State Department travel warnings, currency conversion and foreign newspapers.
